Time Horseshoe Ranch Horseshoe Ranch is a Spanish Colonial Revival style mansion built in 1927 for America's first Western Film star and noted philanthropist, William Surrey Hart. The home and surrounding land was donated to the community and is now a Los Angeles County Museum system. Placerita Canyon Placerita Canyon was once occupied by the Tataviam Native American people and the park contains the site of the first documented discovery of gold in California in 1842.
